Business School Team Wins National Second Prize in the 11th MPAcc Student Case Competition

From 14th to 15th June 2025, the 11th MPAcc Student Case Competition Review Final was successfully concluded. Under the guidance of Mr. He Chao, Mr. Luo Zhengying and Ms. Mao Xiaoying, the ‘Can it be like this team’ composed of five 2024 MPAcc students, namely Zhu Yiwen, Chen Xinyan, Li Ziyi, Liu Ruixuan and Liu Yimin, stood out from nearly 3,200 teams nationwide, and finally won the second prize (5 in total), of which Chen Xinyan won the ‘Best Performance Award in the Review Competition’ (3 in total), which set a record for our school's case study competition. Among them, Chen Xinyan won the ‘Best Performance Award in the Repeat Competition’ (a total of three), which is the best result in the history of our university in this event.

MPAcc Student Case Competition is a public welfare event guided by the National Accounting Education and Guidance Committee, hosted by the MPAcc Student Case Competition Organising Committee, and jointly sponsored and organised by 14 training units, and it is the highest level event in the field of accounting professional degree training. The competition is divided into four stages: the first stage of the preliminary round, the second stage of the preliminary round, the rematch and the final round, and there are seven regions in Northeast China, North China, East China, Central China, South China, Southwest China, and Northwest China. The competition demonstrates the comprehensive strength and style of the teams of participating schools in all aspects through various forms such as public case study reports, field research reports, and on-site debates, etc., and it is a centralised test for the cultivation level of the MPAcc talents of the various schools and institutions, thus the results of the case competition also become the basis of the MPAcc professional degree training. The results of the Case Competition have also become one of the major landmarks of MPAcc quality assessment and certification.


In the four-month-long competition, SU MPAcc team entered the second stage of the East China region from nearly 3200 teams to the top 150, the third stage of the top 30 to participate in the trial, and finally advanced to the top 10 to start the summit showdown in the final round of the competition. The students went all out and stayed up all night to fight, and with the collaboration of their instructors, they won the warm applause and unanimous recognition of the judges and teachers by virtue of their solid professional skills, innovative solutions, and outstanding performance on the spot. In addition, special thanks to Mr Zhou Zhongsheng, Ms Wang Weisha, Ms Yang Rui, Ms Li Jing, Ms Wang Xiaoyuan, and Mr Fertility Xin of GCL Group for their dedication and strong support to this competition.


This award is not only a concentrated manifestation of the MPAcc programme of Soochow University Business School's concept of ‘promoting teaching and learning through competition’, but also highlights the remarkable results achieved by the School in the cultivation of MPAcc talents. In the future, the School will continue to deepen the cooperation between schools and enterprises, optimise the curriculum system, and cultivate more leading talents in finance and accounting with international vision, innovative spirit and sense of social responsibility.
