On the morning of 6 November, Liu Haijian, Dean of Business School of Qinghai Polytechnic, and his delegation came to our college for inspection and exchange. Liu Zhiming, Secretary of Party Committee of Business School, Dean Feng Bo, Huang Xiaohui, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Vice Dean, Zhou Zhongsheng, Vice Dean and professors of related majors participated in the exchange. The exchange meeting was hosted by Dean Feng Bo.

Feng Bo welcomed the delegation of Business School of Qinghai Polytechnic Institute and introduced Soochow University Business School from four aspects: faculty, disciplines and specialties, talent cultivation and scientific research and innovation, focusing on the enrollment, employment and advancement of undergraduates of Business School of Soochow University.

Liu Haijian expressed his gratitude for the hospitality of the college and introduced the basic situation of Qinghai Polytechnic. Liu Haijian pointed out that, relying on the mechanism of east-west collaboration and education aid to Qingdao, under the support of the Ministry of Education and the Qinghai Provincial People's Government, Qinghai Polytechnic was included in the Ministry of Education's ‘Silver Age Program’, the fourth batch of pilot colleges and universities, and constructed a ‘group-type’ counterpart support pattern with the participation of other colleges and universities, such as Soochow University, ‘Counterpart support pattern’.

At the meeting, the two sides on the further implementation of the ‘Silver Plan’ to carry out the form and specific implementation of the programme were discussed and exchanged and reached a cooperation intention.

The mission is to take up the responsibility, and the struggle creates the future. The School of Business actively implements the ‘Silver Age Action’ in the new era, takes Qinghai Polytechnic Institute as the starting point, promotes the development of business education in the western region through the form of eastern assistance to the west, focuses on the cultivation of double-first-class business talents, and contributes to the construction of a strong country and national rejuvenation by comprehensively advancing the modernisation in Chinese style!
