In the height of summer, Hanhe Primary School in Lantian, Shaanxi, welcomed a special encounter. The “Dream Star” volunteer teaching team from the School of Business at Soochow University once again embarked on a summer journey filled with knowledge and warmth for the children in the mountainous region. The team meticulously prepared a rich curriculum system. Five distinctive courses—art, music, calligraphy, soccer, and dance—illuminated the children's classrooms like stars, witnessing an educational relay spanning thousands of miles.

At the opening ceremony, warmth and anticipation filled the air. Volunteer team leader Cai Yifei spoke with emotion: “Knowledge builds bridges; companionship lights dreams.” These simple words captured the original aspiration of all volunteer teachers. Principal Li Ke of Hanhe Primary School extended a warm welcome to the team, noting, “Children in mountainous areas need broader horizons. We thank these teachers who have traveled far to bring new vitality to our campus.” Shen Weice, Deputy Director of the MBA Center at Soochow University's Business School, offered powerful encouragement: “Cherish every lesson, boldly explore the unknown—your dreams deserve to be taken seriously.”

During this visit, Shen Weice, representing the MBA students, joined Principal Li Ke in distributing donated materials—including books, stationery, sports equipment, and scholarships—to the students. This tangible expression of care aims to bring more warmth and the power of love into the children's lives.

This volunteer teaching initiative transcends mere knowledge transfer—it fosters heartfelt connections. With sincerity and expertise, faculty and students from Soochow University opened a window to the world for the children of Lantian. In turn, the children's innocence and warmth filled the volunteers with profound emotion and personal growth. “Education is one tree shaking another, one cloud pushing another.” This summer, the budding hope sprouting across the land of Shaanxi will eventually grow into towering trees.
