On the afternoon of September 20, the departure ceremony for Suzhou University Business School's “Gobi 20” Challenge was officially launched in the MBA Academic Lecture Hall on the first floor of the Business School. University leaders, alumni representatives, participating teams, and support staff gathered together to ignite their fighting spirit and send off the brave warriors about to embark on their Gobi Desert journey.


Shen Mingrong, Vice President and Deputy Party Secretary of Soochow University, passionately called for alumni unity, emphasizing it as the core driving force behind the School of Business's development. He described the Gobi Challenge as both a testing ground for self-transcendence and a place where alumni bonds deepen. He encouraged everyone to embody the university motto “Cultivate the Upright Spirit of Heaven and Earth” through their journey, writing a defining chapter for Soochow University in the Gobi Desert!



Huang Xiaohui, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Dean of the School of Business at Soochow University, drew parallels between Xuanzang's spirit and the university's motto to urge alumni to support the school's development and fulfill social responsibilities. He emphasized the transition from “running alone” to “advancing as a team.” He reminded participants to prioritize safety, using challenges to fuel personal and corporate growth while showcasing Soochow University's wisdom and commitment.
