Winter sunshine warms hearts, as Soochow students gather in splendor! On December 27, 2025, the 2026 Soochow University MBA Development Forum and Annual Gala, themed “Soochow Dialogue, Charging Toward the Future,” was successfully held at the Renaissance Suzhou Hotel. Guided by the School of Business at Soochow University and jointly organized by the Soochow University MBA Association and the MBA Alumni Association, this annual gathering brought together university leaders, industry experts, sponsor representatives, current MBA students, and alumni. Through the collision of ideas and heartfelt connections, they collectively charted a new blueprint for future development.

At 1:30 PM, the grand ceremony commenced with the solemn national anthem. In his address, Cha Zuoming, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Soochow University, reviewed the development journey of the university's MBA education. He highly commended the work of the MBA Federation and the Alumni Association, encouraging all Soochow University MBA alumni to embrace the mission of the times and strive for excellence in the new era.

Subsequently, the “Approval for the Leadership Transition of the Soochow University MBA Alumni Association” and the “Proposed Organizational Structure for the Third Council of the Soochow University MBA Alumni Association” were formally announced on-site. Appointment letters were presented to the newly elected council members and the 2025 intake of new members. Each letter carries responsibility and trust, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the development of the Soochow University MBA Alumni Association.

Two major keynote lectures served as the forum's highlight events. Chen Gang, Chief Strategist at Dongwu Securities, delivered “Resonant Recovery: Outlook for Macroeconomics and Capital Markets in 2026.” Through professional insights and precise data analysis, he interpreted macroeconomic trends and investment opportunities in the capital markets for 2026, providing attendees with a highly forward-looking situational analysis.

Dr. Gao Zhikai, a renowned international strategist and Deputy Director of the Globalization Think Tank, delivered a presentation titled “Great Power Rivalry and Global Governance: China's Role and Path.” Drawing upon his extensive international perspective and practical experience, he explored the core essence of high-level opening-up and the pathways to win-win cooperation from a globalization viewpoint, broadening the international horizons of the attendees.

At the banquet, old friends and new acquaintances gathered together, reminiscing about the past and discussing the future. Wang Yaoyu, Vice Dean of the School of Business and Director of the MBA Center at Soochow University, delivered the banquet address. He expressed gratitude to individuals and organizations from all sectors for their long-term support of MBA education development and extended sincere blessings to all MBA students and alumni. Zhang Zhaolei, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Deputy President of Suzhou Bank's Industrial Park Branch, spoke as a sponsor representative, sharing the vision for mutual success through collaboration with Soochow University's MBA program. Subsequently, the sponsor appreciation and award ceremony proceeded smoothly.

From the thought-provoking Development Forum to the heartwarming Gala Dinner, every moment of the 2026 Soochow University MBA Development Forum and Annual Gala was truly memorable. This grand event not only provided an exceptional platform for networking, learning, and resource sharing, but also fostered a sense of unity and strengthened our collective belonging.
