To practice the MBA education core philosophy of "unity of knowledge and action" and to build a bridge for practical exchange between campus and industry, on May 9, 2026, the External Relations Department of the Suzhou University MBA Association organized current MBA students to visit GoodWe Technology Co., Ltd.'s global headquarters — the Smart Energy Tower — and carried out a special visit and exchange activity focused on the smart energy field. The company’s team of SUDA MBA alumni, General Manager Bai and General Manager Li, received them with great care, leading the students deep into the company’s front line to fully appreciate the development strength and industry layout of a leading new energy enterprise.

This visit is an important part of SUDA MBA’s series of university-enterprise practical activities, focusing on new energy, a national strategic emerging industry, and relying on GoodWe’s industry benchmark status to create an immersive learning scenario that takes MBA students out of the classroom and connects them with the cutting edge of the industry. As a globally recognized provider of smart energy solutions, GoodWe has been deeply engaged in the photovoltaic and energy storage fields for many years. Relying on continuous technological innovation and a full industrial chain layout, it occupies an important position in the global energy transition. Its Smart Energy Tower in Suzhou High-tech Zone is a landmark carrier for the company to pursue dual-carbon goals and demonstrate its core strengths.

GoodWe Smart Energy Tower was officially put into use in 2024 with a total investment of over 1.5 billion yuan. It is a modern zero-carbon building model integrating R&D innovation, headquarters offices, brand display, and industry exchange. The tower innovatively adopts building-integrated photovoltaics, with the facade equipped with self-developed photoelectric building materials and photovoltaic tile systems, constructing a closed-loop energy system of "self-generation and self-consumption, surplus power fed to the grid, and storage regulation." The annual self-generated power can meet the core electricity needs of the tower’s daily operations, perfectly integrating new energy technology with building space. It has become a benchmark project for zero-carbon office buildings in the region and allowed the students to intuitively feel the company’s green development philosophy and technological implementation capabilities upon arrival.

During the visit, the students entered the GoodWe Smart Energy Exhibition Hall, where through systematic explanations and live demonstrations they comprehensively learned about the company’s industry layout and core technological achievements. The exhibition hall centers on the integrated development strategy of "source-grid-load-storage-intelligence," abandoning a single product display model and instead presenting GoodWe’s full-chain development trajectory — from photovoltaic inverter equipment R&D to energy storage systems, smart energy management, and virtual power plant operation — through scenario-based displays, digital interaction, and full-domain data monitoring.

From residential distributed energy solutions to commercial and industrial microgrid systems, from standardized energy storage equipment to customized energy dispatch platforms, the exhibition fully showcased the company’s transformation from a single equipment manufacturer to a comprehensive smart energy service provider. Among them, the 2026 newly iterated silent photovoltaic-storage series solutions break through traditional industry technical pain points and further highlight the company’s core competitiveness of driving industry development through technological innovation; the global energy management data platform in the exhibition hall synchronizes the operating status of global terminal devices and energy dispatch data in real time, turning the abstract concept of smart energy into tangible operational scenarios and helping students clearly understand the core logic and implementation path of new energy digital-intelligent transformation.

Since 2026, the company’s business has maintained a steady growth trend, with market share rising continuously at home and abroad, especially in the fields of energy storage and smart energy management, where its industry influence has been expanding; at the same time, through global capacity layout and integration of the upstream and downstream industrial chain, it has continuously strengthened its comprehensive competitive advantage and steadily led in the broad trend of global energy transition.

After the exhibition hall visit, General Manager Bai and General Manager Li organized an in-depth exchange and discussion with the visiting students. During the exchange, Bai and Li, drawing on the company’s actual operational experience, systematically explained GoodWe’s globalization development strategy, industrial chain integration logic, market competition strategies, and other core content, deeply combining the company’s development practices with theoretical knowledge in MBA courses such as strategic management, marketing, and operations management, bringing the students practical shares that closely match industry reality.

Suzhou University MBA has always adhered to the education philosophy of "unity of knowledge and action, integration of industry and education," placing university-enterprise cooperation and practical teaching in an important position in talent cultivation. Through diverse activities such as company visits, industry seminars, and alumni sharing, it builds a practical platform that connects students with the industry frontier. In the future, the SUDA MBA Association will continue to deepen cooperation with leading enterprises in various fields, focus on strategic emerging industries, high-end manufacturing, and other key areas, carry out more high-quality university-enterprise practical activities, promote deep integration of industry-university-research, help cultivate a new generation of business management talents with global vision, practical ability, and social responsibility, and at the same time inject academic intellectual momentum into enterprise development and industrial upgrading, achieving mutual benefit, win-win results, and coordinated development for both universities and enterprises.
